Absolute mayhem in BOLA

[img][/img]

You know it's going off when I'm catching 30# yellowtails on pink Mirror lures. I don't drag out the Baja Special very often these days but this trip it's my go-to rig. Two of these with-in half a beer of each other and I was wiped.:D

That's exciting!
Our surf fishing has had a few days of exciting action. We're getting schools of Jack Cravelle in casting range and yesterday I caught and eat a very nice corVina.

All the Jacks are the same weighing in at 20 pounds. Quite a fight on light gear. Took me around 20 minutes to bring in one. Tom, in the photo has taken 4 in 3 times at bat. We're waiting for the frigates to show and then keep an eye out for inshore boils. The first day I tossed for them there were schools and schools of them. Some in knee deep water. Right in front of the house. Sweet!

You don't even have to get the boat wet! Too cool. Looks like mid morning fishing Russ?

Muscle bound jacks and corvina as a back up on the beach what could be better....Good for you Russ.

I caught a half dozen 10" trout the other day what a come down!
Rob

Anyone can catch fish in a boat but only \"El Pescador Grande\" can get them from the beach.

I hope when my time comes the old man will let me bring my rod and the water will be warm and clear.

You wouldn't be fishing for trout if you weren't having fun. So congratulations on the nice catch.
Sorry Santiago, I didn't mean to highjack your post.

Jacks hooked anywhere are tough but in shallow water on the beach they are as tough as they come a big favorite of mine.

Jacks here as well. We limited out on 20# yellows today; by "limited" I mean we got so tired we quit. All trolling with X-Raps in 50' of water.
