Planning trip from TJ to Cabo, this looks fun. Anyone been there? Hard to get to?

The oasis is in the canyon about 3 miles east of Mission Santa Maria. 4WD with ground clearance for 16 miles then hike down into the canyon. Plan 3-4 days to enjoy it all. Some photos of the road, mission, bighorn, and more: http://vivabaja.com/msm and http://vivabaja.com/msm2010

Okiebaja, Be careful. I suspect a lot has changed since 2010.

Yes, less water in the bog because 2010 was a wet wet year. On YouTube search 'widowmaker' and see more recent scenes showing the kind of terrain your vehicle must cross to drive to the mission. The other link was 2007 when the bog was again not so wet.

Thanks for the info, made my choice clear, as I will be in a rental CAR. So no chance this trip.

Many of Baja's special sites are best reached with a 4WD for safety and a more enjoyable trip. Getting stuck is way overrated.
