DUST '2' GLORY MOVIE #2 by Dana Brown!

10 years after Dust to Glory hit the theatres and we all saw an exciting film, Dana Brown has made a follow up about the Baja 1000.

The original plan was to follow SCORE thru the 2016 racing season and release the movie in 2017 for the 50th anniversary of the SCORE Baja 1000. Whether or not that will be done remains to be seen.

I don't think I can wait that long! Years ago, I asked one of the producers about a sequel.... Glad to see it coming true.

My wife and I saw the premier of the original on the big screen - great way to see it. Especially with an audience full of racers - some would cheer when someone they knew came on the screen. The 5/1600 we were supporting the year they filmed it got 15 seconds of fame about 35 minutes into the movie - watch for a gold colored VW (rolled early in the race). We got a DNF, but Dana Brown said we finished the race - creative license, I suppose.

Baja Angel, Josh (who just began working for Ivan's son at Raceworks) and I also went to a big screen showing (in San Diego) and lots of Off Road teams there in pit team shirts, etc. Good time... found the DVD for sale at Vons a few years later. Big screen rocks for off road racing movies!

Should be pretty interesting ... given the time frame

Things have changed a bit over the years

In 67 ... Malcolm Smith was my hero :):)

He should still be your hero as he still races in the Baja 1000 on a bike. Some of those old guys never quit.

Just got his autobiography today. A gift from my son. Already can't put it down. A great man and an even greater off-roader.

Living Large in Loreto. Off-grid and happy.
