On the ORIGINAL message you want to quote from click on the "QUOTE" icon. You will be taken to the "Post Reply" window where the entire message will
be contained within quote marks. You can then edit or delete portions of the quote you don't want, and append your own message. So to do this one I
clicked on the QUOTE icon ON YOUR MESSAGE. That took me to the normal Post Reply window, and your entire message appeared as a quote in my new
message. I took out the last part, posted my new message, and voila!!

nice photos!
I've heard that the Pacific Manta Research Group is looking for photos of mantas from Las Islas Revillagigedos. Here is the website:

Nice photos synch!
Good job. The Revillegigedos are amazing, aren't they? One of the last wild places. Were you on the Solmar V?
++Ken++ |
I tried to get on the Solmar V 2 months prior to the trip and called one day to ask lots of questions. Jose in their Beverly, Hills (LA) office
answered them but there seemed to be a feeeling that I was bothering him.
I called the next to book a reservation and he told me that it was completely booked and paid for. When I asked if I could get on a waiting list, he
said that was doubtful that it would have any space in the future as all had paid and he wasn't taking any on a waiting list.
I performed a google search and found the Nautilus Explorer was starting these same trips, our excursion was their second of all. NE has a MUCH wider
beam with newer and excellent facilities.
Strange thing is that during our stay at Roca Partido we were anchored behind Solmar V and both crews are quite friendly. The Naturalist for NE was
previously working on Solmar V and went over to visit for a few hours. When he returned, he told us that the Solmar V was only 60% full of
customers.
Jose in Beverly Hills seems to have gotten his facts wrong...and shunned a cash paying customer

Just fantastic photos Synch
The Nautilus Explorer is a great boat to be on. I went on several dive trips on this boat when it was in Vancouver, B.C.
The owners, Mike & Mary Ann are wonderful people.
I will be at my place in San Felipe next week, and plan a trip down south in April and just might get a dive trip in.
PS Synch..does the Nautilus still have onboard e6 processing and nitrox?
again GREAT pics

Nautilus does have Nitrox,
possibly E-6 processing, but I truthfully don't know as I don't shoot slide film and most photogs are doing digital now.
I was most dissappointed at the quality of a Nikon D100 used by a photographer from a major magazine. While he was skillful, I thought the camera
should have taken better photos - resolution,,clarity and color saturation just didn't seem to be there yet...

Great photos. Wish I had an underwater housing for my camera. Did you use a strobe or other lighting or were you shooting with natural light?
Since I wasn't there I have no way of knowing how the "pro" had his camera set up. How would you set up your white balance for an underwater shot? It
is important to set correct white balance on digitals to get correct colors.

Great images, synch. My favorite is the flamingo triggerfish. Unreal colors. Looks like a painting.
Got a lot of technical questions, but I guess I will wait in line.

Marv there is something about that photo that strikes my animal magnetism...
I can't seem to put my finger on it but I know that I am starngely attracted to it!
Perhaps it is the red globed, pointy urchins?
