single retired women
hi! I posted last week about driving a car without Sonora plates if I was perm res. thx so much for the wealth of info you all provided. ok..lets keep
this simple. being a woman,i am curious to get a womans view point. but testosterone is always welcome lol! I have lived full time in mx for 8 yrs but
time to move on. becuz I am a perm res,and the fact that the gov't has suspended all car imports.i must stay in the free zone. I would love to move to
Ensenada. as a home base so I can travel the coast. are there rentals that are private yet close to the city? via car vs walking is fine. i want to
rent.long term becuz i have 'owned' enough. i love the nite life ie:dancing. but in more of a club atmospehe. thw natural aspect of the area is
perfect. cleanliness is a priority. is Ensenada a clean city? how is the infrastructure? what about a long term clean well priced hotel/motel for 2-3
weeks? so many questions. googleing:fodors, lonely planet, travelocity all cool...but what say you,WOMEN OF ENSENADA?

Ensenada is a great city. There are tons of options for you there. My question is just what "well priced" means to you. Because the hotels really run
the gamut of price. What's your price range?

Try this: Shari Bondy posted it a few months ago
Ensenada hostel
They also have weekly and a monthly rate for a nice private room of $428!! I hate to publicize this place as it will then be full when I need a room
but it really is a fantastic place. It is new and the owner has some great ideas and is making it nicer...putting in some new rooms in a separate
building and landscaping.
to find it...drive to the end of Playa hermosa..the one with the horses on it..where it ends and curves up to the main street...go through the stop
light and turn left at the first street...Bahia Magdelena and its' on the left behind the big wall...sign painted on the wall. The owner is Mexican
and a really nice guy who even offered to drive me to the bus depot! very congenial.
The email is todossantoshostel@gmail.com and they have a facebook page too phone # is 646-206-0468, cel: 646-190-8703
https://www.facebook.com/TodosSantosHostel?fref=ts
Please tell them Shari from Asuncion sent you as I told him I would put it here on Nomads!

When I read your post, I thought you were a perfect candidate to rent one of this "hostel" todos santos rooms. It really doesnt feel like a hostel
except for you get to meet really interesting people often. There was a fellow expat who rented long term there and loved it as it is central, only a
couple blocks from the beach and the kitchen and living room, patio, BBQ'S etc. It really feels like a home...I think you should stay there a few days
and see how you like it! Tell them Shari from Asuncion sent ya!
