Elvis8,
You are looking skinnier, are you sick? Or have you finally laid off the donuts?

Anita ("Mama") Espinoza was the youngest of 10 children born to Eduardo Grosso (of Italy) and Tecla Peņa (of El Triunfo, Baja California Sur).

In Anita's/ Mama's own autobiography ('Reflections', c1994), she provides the year of each of the Grosso siblings birth.... from 1890 to 1908. Her oldest brother was Arturo Grosso who founded Rancho Laguna Chapala and (like his youngest sister Anita) was well known in the pre-pavement days of Baja travel.

The people of Baja make the history of Baja that much more colorful!

David!

Thank you for posting those photos of Mama Espinoza. I hope she has many more happy birthdays. I was honored to have met her in person (and you too) a few years ago.
