I just don't want to run into any trouble with the so called Federali like printbr did in his post of "Bad Day in Baja"

It's a shame after all the advice given he did not give back with a trip report so we know he wasn't hijacked!

Dragon Mother, even though the OP is long gone I am sure many people would find the newbie perspective interesting, so go ahead and add your two
pesos!

Good point.
Well the gist was No, don’t be scared.
Last time I was down I completely winged it after suddenly being alone and having to just get off the plane, grab a car and go with just a screenshot
of the Cabo to La Paz route. I had two choices, lol
Anyways, no problem. The road is great, checkpoints were not anything, just guys on the side of the road, I was a single lady and no fear.
Going from the airport to Todos is beyond easy and not scary.
Especially with the toll road now, not that it was hard before but it was annoying having to route through Cabo with the traffic as the toll road
wasn’t finished last time I came down.
It’s scarier driving in CA then there, I didn’t have to watch for tons of people texting while driving like here.

I did notice right away that this thread started in 2015 but I do think the advice given was really good.
There are situations we take for granted that newbies should be told about. The military with GUNS was so shocking the first time.
Being scammed at the gas station and running on fumes long after I left El Rosario was not fun and could have easily been avoided if I had just known
to make sure pump was zeroes out. I was on my own and usually Les is at the wheel.
And the TOPES will hurt the vehicle - good word to be aware of!
I also wish the original writer had given us a report on how it went. We are left waiting for the shoe to drop...
