Driving from San Felipe to Puertecitos/BOLA

I am curious about the drive from SF to Bola via Puertecitos. I drive a 4WD F250 diesel so except for bad washouts I'm not concerned about that aspect just how long (going easy, enjoying the drive) should I plan on and what fuel/support is available along the way. I know, the question takes the mystery out of the adventure (is it then still an adventure?) but I am looking for a shorter route from Tennesse to the BOLA. Thanks....y'all.:?::rolleyes:

It will be a piece of cake. Gas up in San Felipe. There's gas in Gonzaga and gas in BOLA. You'll be fine in that rig.

Just make sure you're prepared for flats.

Anon baja's bad bone needs diesel not gas. Bad bone, if you fuel up in san felipe you will not need to re-fuel until bola. Your truck has at least a 30 gallon tank and your power stroke will get around 14mpg so that's well over 400mile range. If you take the dirt from san felipe to chapala and then the pavement into bola you are looking at 211 miles!!!! Hell you could turn around and go back to san felipe without refueling---- fishin rich

2deBone,

You'll find diesel at Rancho Grande as well. We also travel w/F250 SD diesel 4X4 to/from Mile-hi-AZ to Punta Bufeo on a regular schedule. We top off w/fuel in San F but there is nearly always diesel at RG, all the business you might hear about the Pemex owned by Alfonsina's notwithstanding.

You will enjoy the drive. It's one of the more spectacular drives in Baja Norte, so be sure to stop and "...Don't hurry. Don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way."

You don't give dates for travel, but this year, with all the precipitation we've had, the flowers should be abundant.

Have a nice trip.
