Longuest millage betwin 2 gas station
Hi,
i just did 5000km going across canada, with my Toyota FJ cruiser and camper 21'.
i realise that i duble up my gas consomation. i'm doing only 250K on a full gas tank.
we are going from San Diego to la Ventana
So are there spots where i need a extra jerrycan of gas?

Longest Distance
Between El Rosario to Villa Jesus Maria is about 325KM. No PEMEX stations in between. Fill up in El Rosario. There MAY be people selling gasoline in
Catavina.......I would suggest you bring extra gas cans and fill them in El Rosario

there are many guys selling in Catavina, the turn to LA Bay etc. it's prolly north of $5/gal but if you need it it's worth it!

You need to fill up and put gas in you Jerry cans in El Rosario. It's a long stretch to Villa Jesús María, a distance of 321 KM.
You can buy gas out of drums at Catavina and/or the junction to Bay of Los Angeles but why chance them be out of gas?
You should be Ok everywhere else but keep your Jerry cans filled just in case.

250 km????? about 150 miles..on a tank.....how many galons is that and is there something wrong with the car?

My F-250 with a V-10 Vortex makes it from El Rosario to Villa Jesus Maria....... barely. Might even make it from the south San Quintin station to
VJM. I always have a 5-gal. bottle filled in the back of the truck, not just for me, but in case I run across a poor Pilgrim in need. If you rely on
the barrels at Cataviña or the Bahia L.A. Jct., you have to think about how old those barrels are, and what's floating around near the bottom of 'em.
Never used 'em, never will. Glad they're there for those who do, but I believe in the "6-'P's".
I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

In the near future, new Pemex stations will be at Laguna Chapala (Gonzaga Bay/ San Felipe jcn.) and Parador Punta Prieta (L.A. Bay Jcn.).
South of El Rosario/ north of Villa Jesus María), besides the independent gas vendors mentioned above at Cataviña and Parador Punta Prieta (who sell
from jerry cans, so you get a full 5 gallon if you pay for 5 gallons):
There are two Pemex stations at L.A. Bay (40 miles from Hwy. 1) and Gonzaga Bay has one Pemex (36 miles from Hwy. 1).

Near future? I see where the lots are marked off but not a lot of activity. Where does your info come from? It can take years for a station to
come to fruition.

I would think that the Chapala connection area would be ripe for a station soon...............Maybe I can get them to hire me to do a monthly
Underground Storage Tank (UST) inspection.

I have to scratch my head a bit about a Pemex at Chapala, simply because in recent years the proliferation of Pemex stations has occurred because they
have money making markets there. They cannot survive on the profit they get from Pemex.
There are few locals in the Chapala area, so any customers would mostly be passing through.
Comes to mind all the recent Pemex station through out the Valle De San Quintin. All with markets on site.

You're making sense Howodd............I'm just thinking long term when the road gets completed from Coco's. Many people will be using that road but I
guess they could just fill up in Gonzaga.

I am saying "near future" because the land at or near these highway intersections is marked off the same way, and one is signed for the construction.
It is as "near future" as is the highway from San Felipe to Laguna Chapala is from completion... ie. "Manaña" (meaning "not today").
Two years from now, I would believe there would be some construction underway if not completed.
