I am very familiar with this view.

You are not the first to have a problem on that beach Igor

The Doc said that was not a good idea and my wife agrees BUT he didn't say no!

Anyone can catch fish in a boat but only \"El Pescador Grande\" can get them from the beach.

I hope when my time comes the old man will let me bring my rod and the water will be warm and clear.

Lovely, simply lovely. It is the thought of sunrise. Lotsa smiles here.

I hope to not hijack this thread. I took this Sunday morning, early dawn, after the thunder and lightening show kept me up all night at Diaz.

Not at all. The sun came up right in that area a week ago.

You'll note that nomads has resized your image from 1152 pixels to 800. Don't know if that bothers you. For most images that's fine but not for others, I feel.

Yes, but the width of Nomad is 800 pixels, so to post a photo over 800 is to go off the screen and require scrolling sideways to see the whole photo or read any text on the same page... or change your screen view setting, but text could then be too small to read easily.

The photo is beautiful, by-the-way!

Yes! It bothers me. I'll be glad to pass on any hi-res to anyone who asks. Here is a pic from the same spot facing south.

This has been argued by you ad nauseum. Nobody these days has an 800 pixel screen. A 1200 pixel image no longer causes scrolling.

Each image is different and size should be used accordingly. A panorama on a 800 pixel image looks like a thin strip because it's so narrow. An 800 px square image looks infinitely larger even though the panorama is trying to show a huge expanse of land. The idea is to wow you with space and you're asking to do the opposite.

I don't know why I'm taking this bait again. The same comment will be made by the same individual again. Explanations don't seem to matter. Just looking for confrontations.

Is you panorama stiched, if so how many exposures? If you shoot in portrait orientation they aren't so film strip thin. Nice image.

I nearly fell for it too. I love your photo skip - because I know ~ exactly where you were standing. I had a rough trip solo on a moto and wanted to share the few decent pix. I have more from the trip but don't want to degrade them to instagram quality.

FACT: iPhone 4S introduced over 4 years ago has a display that shows photos 960 px wide.

I seriously did not want to hijack a nice sunrise. Peace!

Less Spectacular, but still memorable...

In 2006, after pitting for the Baja 1000... some photos on our way out of town from that spot. The whole bay from south to north:

[These photos were uploaded at 640 pixels.]

Nice. Somehow I missed this one. Isn't it great when there is light on the horizon but you can still see the stars. One of the advantages for a fisherman is that every day starts like this.

Yes the best bang for your buck at nomads is a square 800x800 image. I could have narrowed it down to the 4 islands and gotten a 4x6 composition but that wouldn't capture the broad sense you get up there. Usually, however , I'm not a big fan of panoramas. I don't have a big enough lens to do this with stitching. This was shot with 110mm and cropped to a panorama. It was shot with that intention.

I spent 2 nights up there. That place gets a lot of attention. Hopefully nobody ever builds a home up there. Maybe some day a view point would be appropriate.
