How's the fishing in asuncion ?

Shari, your letting us down on fish reports. Headed down next month and wondering if anyone is catching fish there?

I spoke to Taraya last night and he said there are plenty of yellow tail around. I heard wahoo might be nearby. Water is still 74 degrees. I head down next week and will likely go out catching the following week.

sorry about the lack of reports but I was in Ensenada for a bit visiting Sirena & izaak. The yellowtail bite has been fickle...one day there will be oodles of fish in one spot then gone the next day...moved to another spot. But there are some mighty big tail around these days but few fishers plus the huge swell and wind events kept us off the water a few days. I have heard there are still some dorado and wahoo & tuna are further out now.

Here is BajaFam Lionel and his kids with some of their catch! Missy is becoming a great fisher and is not in the least bit squeamish about holding up her fish either.

the big news is that our new superpanga is now ready to go...after many setbacks with finding the right controls for the new engine. Stay tuned for the christening this weekend! Juan is some excited!

One interesting catch...er gaff...was a coop fishermen spotted something strange in 5' of water in front of the launch area...a big mako shark!!! Crap...just when ya thought it was safe to swim! They gaffed that sucker....so weird.
