Outhouse at San Borja

A simple question, if that is possible. No maps, old photos, outdated information etc., required

There used to be an outhouse by the fence where people camped, but the last time we were there a few years back, that outhouse was gone because of storms. The only one there was the one the family uses.

Can anyone who has been there been there RECENTLY tell me if that outhouse has been replaced?

Thanks

A month ago there were very nicely constructed stone outhouses, just as the trail to the springs started.

Yes about the stone ones - they were there in October but we did not use them so actually don't know if they were completed inside.

Diana,
You frequently grace us with your photos.....

I camped there in 1994 for first time, used a dug-out hotspring by the gardens for my morning ablutions....but don't recall any biffy....I think BoLA served that need.

Pics when you find the new throne, please. ;)

You got it!

I looked back at old photos and in 2007 the outhouse was right by the palapas and then gone in 2010 which was a year of lots of rain.

So, when we get down there, we will seek out those new outhouses, take photos of the inside, outside, from a distance, from up stairs in the mission, maybe a selfie or two, add some GPS coordinates, and draw up some maps so you can find them!
