Rental car INTO Baja

I have a quick trip planned to Ensenada for New Years weekend and being in the SF Bay Area, it's just as cheap to drive as to fly, at this late date, to SD and take a friends car from there.

Question is, I know most rental car co's don't allow their cars into Mexico but are there any of the mainstream ones I could get a car here from that do allow you into Baja? I'll take mine if I have to but not doing any off roading this time a high milage go fast down I-5 car would be better.

Thanks and Feliz aņo nuevo todos.

Avis, Hertz, Budget, Enterprise (from the San Diego rental stations) all allow their cars into Mexico, however you have to purchase their Mexician liability insurance. Not sure about the SFO area agencies
