HOLA,

rain is down to a trickle at 2:00 p.m. but it's projected to pick up and rain for the next 4 days or so.

if it's raining cats and dogs in ensenada as bajaguy says, san quintin must have a bunch too ?

hopefully, our burn area people don't suffer.

BE SAFE EVERYBODY !!!!

BIEN SALUD, DA RAT

Yesterday (Monday) I drove from San Diego to south of Cantamar and Primo Tapia in the early morning and back north in the afternoon. I used the old road between Tijuana and Rosarito. In the am heavy rain in the La Gloria area and the decent to Rosarito, then again south of Calafia, and then heavy again in the stretch from Cantamar to the old Cuenca Lechero exit (the Jersey Dairy exit).

Going north in the pm it was dry until turning off the toll road for Rosarito Norte. Traffic slowed and then the two northbound lanes turned into a river. I thought a water line had broken. Starting up the grade to La Gloria a cloudburst hit. It was difficult to see, and water was pouring down the road. Just before beginning the decent into downtown Tijuana the rain stopped. By the time I crossed Blvd. Agua Caliente the sun was out, and the streets to get to the Sentri lanes was perfectly dry. There was a bad accident partially blocking entry into the Sentri lanes at the all-way stop intersection. Total time to cross the border about 20 minutes.

Anyone driving south through Tijuana all this week needs to drive with caution. Hay posibilidad de que llueva a cántaros.

Steady all day so far... I just took a drive to do something and the low streets are beginning to flood and get closed off. Radio report said I-15 from Mission Valley to Escondido is all backed up with multiple accidents. Just got an email alert from Discover Baja Travel Club warning of flooded vados, rock slides and more from Ensenada to Cataviña. In other words, every is NORMAL for a winter rainstorm in both Californias!

San Diego, north county:
Rained all day Tuesday.
Sunny a little this morning (Wednesday), then the next storm blew in before noon with steady, heavier than yesterday rain the past nearly 3 hours. Now, there are some good booms of thunder... What fun!
