whales in Lopez?

Are there any whales left in Lopez Mateos right now? I went one year when there were only 3 females left and we still had a fantastic time,...................Hoping some relatives get lucky. Thanks for any current information anyone has.

Yes, there are a few whales still here. Just was down at the dock talking to the pangueros at 6 this evening. 8am or 4pm due to the tides.

Right now the low tides are in the middle of the day and at that time the whales are out at the Boca. Rough ride. Better early or late when the tide is higher and the whales are more in the middle of the bay.

I have guests going out at 8am tomorrow and they are here for 2 more nights . . . . so. . . . .

Mula, mil gracias!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a tremendous day in Lopez today. We spent an hour with a very friendly mom and calf who politely requested many nose rubs and back scratches. Most of the pairs were in the boca being trained for the long trip north. Just really wonderful. Manuel was a great guide.
