How to rent

I'm going to drive around Rosarito and call rentals. I have read that in most of Mexico it is important to see property deed etc. before signing a lease. Is this true in Baja? If so, can anyone or does anyone know of someone who could walk me through the process the first time? Right now my Spanish is pretty limited. Later on it should be much better. Gracias

I've signed a few leases in rosarito and never did, both my rental here in rosarito and gonzaga bay are nothing more than a handshake. good enough for me, ymmv ;)

on edit, if you choose to use an agent, Angie Fernandez next door to PlanB is a great choice!
