Unless you are going to Tecate don't use Otay. San Ysidro is MUCH easier.

San Ysidro is the TJ crossing from I-5/805.

Otay is the 'east' TJ crossing from I-905.

SY es mas bueno, as stated.

TJ/SanYisdro

If you are comming from LA/OrangeCo. area TJ?SanYisdro would be quickest If you are going south way south on Mex1 go that way and take toll road to Ensenada much quicker and safer drive. the problem at the border as far as traffic is concerned is commong back into USA not going into Mex. so why would you want to have to drive through downtown TJ to get to the toll road witch is what you have to do if you come in from OteyMesa crossing.
