Is there still a property connection between Punta Final and Rancho Santa Ynez or did Kevin buy all of Josefina's land at Punta Final?

Kevin bought only Punta Final...including Fred's place. The owners who were there before Kevin bought it are not happy with him. Last I heard, they formed a homeowners group to fight the huge rent increases. The Choi family owned El Tigre food chain but sold out years ago.

you're not likely to run across many Choi fans.....but I suppose you can't fault him for being at the right place at the right time. Its just a shame that same deal wasn't offered to the renters...:(

According to Fred Hampe (owner before Kevin), Kevin hung around for years thinking some day he would snatch it out from under the Hampe's nose. The old timers loved Fred and his brother Ray, who lived in Ramona. I had dinner with Fred many times and he felt really bad that Kevin's clan messed up a good thing. Kevin also (without permission) bull dozed a road over the cliff area to get access to his new "development" that is plagued with high winds. There is a big junk yard full of broken cement trucks and other scuttled equipment. And the house once built by racing legend, Bill Stroppe, is now a Choi mansion.:(

Did Fred sell to Kevin or did he buy from someone else?

Punta Final owners-renters

Bump. Just curious who some current owners-renters are in Punta Final. Was planning on going down this month (October) to check the place out. See if Fred Hampe's old trailer above Kevin Choi's place is still there.

Anyone?:light:
