How to get an empty case to La Paz?
Around the begining of Decenber, I want to get a case to La Paz. 26 x 26 x 10 inches, 62 liner inches. On the way down the case contains only some
padding, and weighs 18 pounds. When I fly back, I will need it.
How can I get the case to La Paz, and pick it up a month or so later?

Put a case of beer in it and send it along with a Nomad, with directions on where to deliver it to a La Paz Nomad.
It will be empty.

The case is for doing this

If a sober person wants to hold on to the case in La Paz, I would be happy to pay them in cash instead of beer.

You are assuming that the "collapseable" bike frame will make it without collapsing on Baja roads.
Id go with the proven solid frame and deal with the slightly larger bike box.

What if he knows what he is talking about?
I spent all my money on the perfect travel bike, now I have to ride my dusty old Mongoose Alta for safety sake? Funny.

Hey, at least the non-bike riders have been sort of helpful instead of the usual,anti-bike additude held by most nomads.
Watch out for fat ladies in Hondas!

Joe, if my plans this year hold up, I will be on the road about four, to six weeks ahead of your schedule. If things change I would be happy to haul
your freight.
Having said that, I think you should reconsider using the soft side shipping container that I saw in the video! Over the years, I have hauled a lot
of unusual things to and from Alaska as checked baggage. Things less fragile than your bike have been damaged somewhere along the route, especially
if there is a connecting flight.
I have seen several different hard cases at baggage claim areas recently, but I have never needed one, so have no recommendation on brands.
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

And just is what is in this so-called empty case that you cannot bring it with you when you fly there? If it is an empty case, there are plenty of
retailers in La Paz than can sell you a new one.

I have the S&S couplers hard case.
http://www.sandsmachine.com/ac_hard.htm
Looks like this one, Original style hard cases (gray)
And 4 of these
http://www.sandsmachine.com/ac_comp.htm
just like the photo.
The bike is a Dahon Ritchey Flo.
http://dahon.com/bikes/flo-x20/
The comment about the
¨You are assuming that the "collapseable" bike frame will make it without collapsing on Baja roads.¨
Hmmm, not sure. Only one way to find out.
For the record.
The S&S couplers are stronger. (Stronger than the bike frame itself.) The same way the S&S case is stronger than the Ritchey case. Ritchey
makes better videos.
Only Bajahoward could not figure it out.
mtgoat spoke to soon.
