Meat and vegetables INTO Baja
During a recent trip to Gonzaga Bay...we were told by friends that they were told that they could not bring fresh meat or veggies INTO Baja?
Is this new? Is this true?
Does it apply to a personal stash (rv/camper) or to larger quantities??
Headed back down for a friends wedding next week...would love to know for sure,,,or at least "BajaNomad sure"

Crossing South, it's possible that secondary might ask about food.
My RV fridge was searched once at the Ag checkpoint at GN. I was asked if I had meat or fruit.
US Marines: providing enemies of America an opportunity to die for their country since 1775.
What I say before any important decision.
F*ck it.

Got the red light at Mexicali, nothing asked when they looked in my bed. Parked and went into INM, nothing asked or said. Two military checks enroute
to Gonzaga, never any food questions. One of our vehicles had lots of meat and veggies, and it was never a problem.

Banned. But inspection/enforcement is rare. I have had veggies confiscated. But I still bring meat and veggies. Like I said, enforcement rare,...
so never import more than you can afford to lose.

What goat says. We always bring a cooler full of frozen meat in below some blocks of dry ice and some other "stuff" on top. They never look below
the ice. Technically it's not OK, but enforcement is spotty at best. It sure is nice to have some good USDA Prime meat once in a while.
Living Large in Loreto. Off-grid and happy.

I always bring frozen meat and frozen veggies, cheese, and a few fresh veggies. I buy fresh stuff at Ensenada Walmart. I think technically you are
not supposed to cross the state border at the GN agri ck point but when they ask if I have fruit I always reply NO. They have never searched but you
never know.
