Boat TIP Question

After reading a recent post, I realized I probably needed a TIP to bring my boat to Mexico (thanks Nomads!). I followed the link provided to get to the application. My boat is not listed in the pull-down menu, and there is no option for a manual entry. I have a 16 ft Klamath aluminum. Has anyone encountered this, and how can I proceed? Thanks in advance!

Get ahold of vagabundos. It's super easy and only costs you 50 bucks, plus the TIP, to have them do it. I tried it online and couldn't figure it out.

Thanks, I will give them a call. Is another option getting one at the border?

Better to get online. But it's not that big a deal to get it at the boarder as long as you don't go at a busy time. Go at a busy time and it's a huge hassle.

TIP Boat Type

I was having the same problem - have a Back Cove - then I stumbled onto UNKNOWN in the boat list. The boat is known to me but UNKNOWN to Mexican customs, I guess.
