Easy route from Otay to 1D Scenic Hwy to Rosarito

I was hoping to go across at Ysidro because it's supposedly easy to dink along the uppermost boundary of the border after crossing, and come out at the coast on 1D scenic hwy to head down to Rosarito .

But since we'll have a trailer of "stuff" we're being told we have to go Otay. On the map it looks much more complicated after crossing, and sticks you right in the middle of TJ. Eek, a bit nervous about getting lost.

Is there an easy way to recognize the most "express" way out of the city?

No, no... it is super easy!
I have posted the road log years ago, but basically you go south from Otay border and in a mile go east on Industrial (signed for Mexicali Cuota, 2-D). In 4 miles you will fork to the right onto the Corredor 2000 (201), free highway to Popotla, just south of Rosarito on Hwy. 1. You can stay on the free road to Ensenada or pop on the toll hwy in a few miles.
