Hemp oil

It is not marijuana... it is hemp oil............if I bring it in the eye drop bottle it comes in (clearly marked but not a script) will I end up in jail if I bring to Mexico. will the dog sniff it out? It is topical and helps with arthritis. what do you think?

Sign on I-5 just before the border crossing indicates "Medical Marijuana Illegal in Mexico." I assume this is MM.

From an online source:
Hemp is the same specie of cannibis as the pot people smoke, however the selective breeding to increase to THC levels has caused a degree of "speciation" to occur. Industrial hemp does not contain THC to any great extent if at all.

"Hemp oil will trigger a drug sniffing dog's attention, mainly because of the bioactive nature of hemp oil. It is dynamic compared to the petroleum products most people use. Drug sniffing dogs will also trigger on raw chocolate, so something like "Toblerone" will trigger a false positive in a drug sniffing dog as well as the drug test field kits, which are faulty for that kind of thing."

Most of the scrutiny is going north, so you could use it all up before heading back. Just to be sure, maybe do without for that trip, and use arnica or other products.

I don't think I would take the chance. I understand that there are legitimate, non intoxicating medications that can be produced from cannabis, but there is also honey oil that is concentrated THC.

I would hate to be detained until it is all sorted out!
