Tijuana/Rosarito Chrome plating?

I have a classic car and need to get some parts chromed. San Diego chrome platers are few and far between plus very expensive. Does anybody know of a chrome plating company in the tijuana/rosarito area?

Thanks much

Tercera 8379, Zona Centro, 22000 Tijuana, B.C., México
Address of La Victoria. Directly across the street, you find the restoration shop.

Stand underneath the arch.
Walk 2 blocks south.
turn left, east, walk 2 blocks.
just before the corner you find them.

Before you get to the corner you come to a body shop. They restore vintage cars. They have the info you want. I have seen their work. They know how.

I use the laundry there because they have good dryers.

You pass the place that grinds prescription lenses for eyeglass on that walk

Thanks for the info. Is that the exact address you provided? I looked on Google Maps but couldn't find the shop. Could you provide a Google Map link to the exact location?

Tercera 8379, Zona Centro, 22000 Tijuana, B.C., México
This address is for a store on the other side of the street. La Victoria.
The body shop is not marked on google maps. They sit in there restoring old cars. Not an internet kind of a place. Do you speak Spanish? They do not speak English.

Betwen Avenida Negrete and Av Madero. The east Weat street is 3rd. Carrillo Puerto y o Tercera. It is on Carrillo Puerto y o Tercera. Burger King is 2 blocks west of the body shop. If you do not speak Spanish, bring someone that does.

Find the tj arch on google maps.
look 2 blocks south to find Burger king on google maps.
Look 2 blocks east to find La Victoria.
note: you have to zoom in a lot to make these places show up on google maps.

I do not know how to copy and paste the map, sorry

The body shop and laundry mat share the same building, and perhaps the same owner. This is not a Collision Repair center. They are restoring some nice old cars, and know how.

This is a longshot but looking for same service, a chrome plate shop.

Google yields info for TIJ, but does anyone have personal experience with chrome platers in Tijuana or Ensenada?

Chrome plating is a very dirty process. That’s why it now cost a lot in USA. The cheap services in Mexico are often weakly regulated and very polluting. Give a hoot, dont pollute; consider paying for service in USA instead of contributing to pollution in poorly controlled shops south of the border.

Also, might google some car clubs in the area, they will know. If you have FB there are several clubs on there.

Years ago Downey, Norwalk, Santa Ana and Los Angeles were indeed loaded with car restoration customization mom and pop shops.

As MtnGoat pointed out that has changed due to change.
Only the wealthy use so cal rechromers. There are only a few still doing it. I was quoted 5k for front and rear bumpers and a few trim parts for a 55 Chrysler New Yorker.

Will post results after I have it done in Baja. The Baja shops know what it cost north and their prices, while less, are still high.

Thanks for the responses.
