WalMart money pick up
Any of you ever so knowledgeable folks on here have experience sending money to someone in mexico using Walmart's 'moneygram' service, or whatever it
may be called?
I managed to not get my atm card back and am wondering if I would be able to just pick up cash there like in the states. Curious if I would just need
my license and/or passport, or if they even have that service. It would most likely be at the one in Ensenada.
Thanks in advance for the info and the always funny jokes that I'm sure some will come up with...

You need to use the full name as it appears on the id and there is also a code reference number. The money is there immediately and is easy to pick
up.

Use westerunion. Download the app and send it from your phone. Or go to their web site on your laptop. I've done it hundreds of times. Pretty
cheap, $5 to $7. Tons of places in MX.

you are 2 hours from the border...just go to a bank branch in san diego...they will issue you a new card right in the office...I've done that before

Thank you gnukid. I've gotten money once before through WalMart in the states, so it sounds like it works just the same.
Decent advice bob and susan, but I'm having a mobility problem at the moment so won't be driving much of anywhere until I head to the Dr next week.

Do any of the banks in baja or cambios exchange bitcoin?
Any entrepreneurial types exchanging bitcoin?
Serious question. It's the future, baby.

I've thought about 1 or 2 thousand dollars worth. If I would have done it when I first thought about it I could sell today for a very handsome profit.
Interesting idea, especially how Bitcoins are mined. It seems to be as good as fiat currency, maybe better, but I'm not sure. I've read that world
banking organizations are keeping a close, wary eye on these new digital currencies, there are others.
