How to handle the heat? It is 60 degrees in Anchorage right now, and if it gets any hotter, I will be shedding my flannel shirt!
I know, it's not Baja, but at least I am back on topic!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

When we sit outside on a summer evening in historic Ehrenberg AZ, we use a baby swimming pool to put our feet into. We put all the left over ice from
the day in there also. Sitting there with a "desert snow" in your hand does the trick for me.

We just drove down from Santa Cruz to San Diego via ADELANTO. It was 100 degrees there and I could hardly think, or breathe.
Tuesday we head home to La Bocana, God willing. I am so ready!

Spectacular mountain biking weather in Mammoth Lakes - highs around 80, comfy cool at night. Today we ride Lower Rock Creek.
BTW: tons of snow and flowing water everywhere. Lakes which have been low for the past years are now topped off.

Anywhere with A/C and an adult drink makes you forget the heat. No need for A/c if near the pacific ocean, just set under some shade and listen to the
waves.

I crossed into Mexicali 3 weeks ago and stopped in Walmart for something and it was 104, then headed to my house in San Diego at the west end of 52
and it was 71 degrees. Hard to beat western San Diego.

I lived in Coronado (San Diego area) for 30 years-----------pretty much froze the entire time there, especially in the gloomy winter. Moved to the SW
USA desert eventually and loved it. Different strokes for different folks. Live in Redding, CA now, a compromise. (-:

Cooling Fans, or swamp coolers, work fabulously in dry heat but are pretty ineffective in high humidity.
