Whereabouts

I found a little video showing this place, most likely in or near Ensenada - anyone familiar with it?

Thanks, John M

It's in Sauzal, just south of the San Miguel toll booth

probably one of the most famous classic taco places in Ensenada...and has great tacos! It is an easy off the highway to grab grits before heading to the border!

Yes. If it’s packed or for a change of pace the place across the street is almost as good BUT their selection of salsas is top notch which makes them about equal IMO.

Oh my, YES - the BEST. Don't pass it up. There's a little toilet and hand-washing sink in the back - they have parking too. Keep your eyes peeled for it; there's a parallel frontage street off the highway to access it.

It's really good. Right next to it is a place called "El Flamazo." It is just as good, IMO.

First place I ever had a torta, way back when. They've expanded over the years, but the quality is still good, and they now do fish tacos as well as all the meat options.

Once I drove by here and did not stop. They were closed. :saint:
For years I would watch folks order the cabeza taco and one day I just had to try it to see what all the fuss was about. The flavor was bland and the texture would take some getting used to. What I did notice, after the fact, was that everyone else who got one loaded up on salsa, onions, lime, cilantro, and whatever else you could put on it. That must be the secret? l will stick with all the other proteins they serve. When they expanded and added seafood that just made it that much better.
