Robby Gordon just keeps on racin', one of my all time favorite drivers. Still remember when he went off on Jeff Gordon of NASCAR years ago.

I remember Robby and Walker getting into fisticuffs on Freemont St at some Vegas race, circa 1990. Business as usual.

I believe my last race was Robbys’ first solo race and was the 1985 Mint 400 (I think) that was the race they called because the dust was so bad
racers kept running into motor homes. Robby smoked them all in the Stan Venrables 1966 Ford. We finished 13th overall in a one two 1600 and still
didn’t win our class.

I think that was '89 (or was it '88?) - we raced that one in my 7 and they made us quit at three laps (of four), due to blowing dust. Our three laps
were flawless, zero flats. I was not thrilled by HDRA's decision.

OK: I’ll go for 1988. I’m pretty sure that’s the only time they shut down the race, wasn’t so bad for us cause we finished not to far ahead of
that shutdown. Would have made me not too happy if we would have been on the other side of it.

Robby Somebody to admire:
Always lands further after the jump. Always is out of shape on the turns and has no problem using up the road and making safe progress. Always has the
loudest motor with the highest revs. He is always fastest or pretty close to the fastest. Win or break must be his motto.
For sure he is not into saving the machine.
