Hey Bob,

Excellent report !
Thanks for taking the time to do it. Much appreciated ..

So I my guess is you rented a Panga to take you out besides shore fishing ?

Thanks DK

Hi Blanca, yes I'll make it to your side soon for a visit :)

Paco, all fish were taken from shore. My first sardinera and skipjack from the beach.

Here's a pretty cool sunset that I got around Colonet on the way down.

Nothing special. Pretty much a largemouth bass set up. 7' MH spinning rod, medium spinning reel, 20# spectra and 30# mono topshot. Spoons, like Krocs, swimbaits and misc Rapala type lures. The one in the pic is a Bass Pro Shops XPS Laser Minnow. Worked great but made for fresh water so the hooks were destroyed after 15-20 fish.

Hi Bob,

Where in Big Bear do you live? I flew up just for a couple of hours on Sunday. Fall has arrived.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for sharing such descriptive report (BTW: I sent you a U2U)...

My family and I are planning on finally taking that same Central Baja Loop during Spring Break.

Baja Central Loop.jpg - 132kB

This upcoming 2018 Spring Break for our kids starts a week before and also ends a week before it does in Mexico's Semana Santa:

...and that's when will head out there for two weeks so we hope we do NOT find any (or many) crowds in the area during our second week. I avoid Semana Santa like the plague... its just overwhelming and unsafe, thus I'll cross my fingers for our drive back north... we'll encounter much of the heaviest traffic for that main weekend: Jueves Santo (March 29th), Viernes Santo thru Sunday the 31st... trying to make it home by Saturday...

...work to camp and fish.... dream to be there....

I will follow up with you when I'm up next. It may be a while, as we are heading down to Baja again this week. Our house is in Fox Farm, so we are probably pretty close.
