fishing licence 2018
Hey
Fishing licence question. Since I don't have time for doing the licence online and waiting for it to arrive. What is the best way to get a licence?
1. Visit the Baja State tourism office in San Felipe?
2. Is there a good fishing store in Baja off Hwy 5 that will sell licence?
3. It looks like the FONMAR site I can pay and then print. Is it good in all of Baja. Seems like $ goes to a good cause.
thanks

From what I've read on the Forums, it's best to buy your license locally to where you wanna rip some lips, as the funds go into the local fishery and
economy. Further replies will tell you where in San Flip.

It is good to buy it where you are going to fish but don’t bet on them having any. I have been to several places where they will rent you gear or
take you out fishing, but don’t happen to have licenses, pretty disappointing. To avoid that I usually buy my license on line and print it out at
home.

You can print the license after purchase on line no waiting. In San Fielpe the restaurant Vaquita sells licenses. Heard you can get license out at the
marina at the secretary of pesca office ( tried once out of stock)!

what freedivervebrian said! you fill out the form online, pay up and print.
nothing could be easier.
as many have said, if you get it locally, the money stays local, but here in La Bocana it doesn't. Online takes 5 minutes the first time and 2
minutes when you do it the following times.

I'm not sure where you're travelling to but in La Paz I've found the best and easiest place is at one of the government operated Kiosks that are
scattered around the city. Its a little white kiosk with State (BCS) emblems where you can obtain and pay for many government forms but I have only
availed myself to the fishing license option. A young girl enters all your information on a computer, collects your money along with a small printing
fee (a few pesos) and out pops your license. The best part is the ones I have found (outside City Hall bldg and in mall at Forjadores and Colosio)
have been open until 10 pm.
I'm not sure where all these kiosks are located or if it is just a La Paz thing but I suspect it is a least a BCS thing, hopefully others might chime
in.

she's just using the computer like you can...
except she can collect cash
just buy it online and print it out before you go on vacation
why ruin your "vacation time" looking around for a purchasing agent
online is the answer

There is the FONMAR site to buy online. This seems more expensive. Does anyone know of another site where I can buy and print?

the site loads super slllllooooowwww here in Asuncion as it has so many graphics so if you can get it before coming here it is waaaay easier.
also you dont really need to print it out these days as you can just show the fisheries officer the receipt or license on your smart phone.....easy
peasy. Download the PDF or get a screen shot of it.

We have been able to purchase and print for several of our friends and neighbors with no problems here in Mulege.
Log into the site, fill in the info, credit card payment and of course you need a printer so you get a copy of the transaction and a copy of your
license....
Usually do when the local shop isn't open and we don't need to charge a fee which would be no bueno.....
Site has worked very well here...

I've been getting my license here for many years. You get a .pdf file so you can print as many as you need.

Thanks for all the ideas. It seems there are lots of ways online to apply. They all link to Bancomer where payment happens. It seems like the price
doubles from the $32 quoted when you go to pay. Is this normal? Pretty confusing

price does not rise. at least it has never done so with me and I have done quite a few licenses for those that don't realize that the cooperative
doesn't do them here in La Bocana. How that can be when they take people out sport fishing has me confused to this day!

Last year I got mine in Loretto right off the malecon, two minute walk from El Moro where I was staying.
