Word Filter/Censor

I noticed a derogotory slang word(s) I posted was intercepted and otherwise altered and changed to say something else. Is this a software filter or is this hacked by an individual for reasons I don't quite understand. Maybe just plain old everyday fun. The problem I have with this, aside from being denied my printed speech is that what happens if this occurs when transposing a quoted document to a post and then it is archived differently than originally posted? It would then be possibly resourced later but would be inaccurate compared to the original. Get my concern?

There are word filters/censors.

If a quoted document cannot adhere to the rules of the board, then it too will get censored.
