SANDOLLAR is nice...but a couple mile south of town. No restaurants close by.

Yeah, not a fan of the town, but have to stop there one night as I think we will be too tired to plow on to Gonzaga. Want to get some fireworks as well and will probably roll in late, so grab them in the AM.

The Marina Resort is probably the finest but the El Cortez is good and close to the water and the Malecon for a wide selection of places to eat.

Costa Azul ain't bad and if you get the the right room you can have a view of the Malecon and the ocean. I'm sure the radiation is gone by now. Just kidding.

Thanks for the numbers TMW.

As a pro tip: always enter your phone numbers in your contact list in your phone as "+" followed by the country code. That way it will dial perfectly whether you are in the US or anywhere in the word. Hold down the space bar to create the +.

Example +1 818 xxx yyyy or +52 6222 xxx yyyy.

Never need to add 001 or 011.

Plus, it's close to the fireworks store, as both are just north of town.

Based on reading some reviews it looks like the Sand Dollar is the nicest? Doesn't anyone disagree?

It doesn't matter to us being outside of town.

I like the El Cortez. Great rooms and restaurant, and walking distance to the center of town.
