Wow, some of the best times in there were in the summer... Sounds like a great time to avoid noisy crowds?

There are other canyons and hot springs, too... Palomar is being developed.

Uh oh. When it comes to "development" of hot springs. Well, that can go either way....
Isn't there a hot spring source at Puertecitos?

Yes, they are in tidal pools and you can enjoy them only when some fresh seawater has mixed with the hot sulfur water...
