In the past, I have used the battery controllers sold by DIG Corp. (made in Israel) but they have given some users problems, and my supplier (Ewing Irrigation) no longer stocks them.

I have several DIG timer/valves in use at my off grid home in Loreto and they have been in use for over eight years now. I was warned by some that they were cheap and would fail, but my experience so far has been perfect. Alas, DIG is no longer however the identical timer is sold under the name Galcon (www.galconc.com). I change batteries routinely every Jan on all my battery operated devices and the DIG timers will go far longer than that year.

DIG is alive and well, I think!?... They have a factory, making many products here now... they are just a couple of miles from me, in Vista: https://www.digcorp.com/

Hunter is also very near me, in San Marcos... right over the hill, in fact. Big, big factory complex.

Galcon is the Israeli irrigation company that DIG imported products from and slapped their label on.

There is a dedicated irrigation store in La Paz that sells everything required for drip irrigation. They sell items by the piece or in commercial quantities.

I can not remember the name (some combination of initials) but it is located on Marcelo Rubio Ruiz between the the corners of Navarro and Manuel Encinas. (Only about two blocks from the McDonalds on 5th of Feb) We just call it the "irrigation store".

Home Depot has some very limited supplies but does carry programmable "hose end" battery powered timers. The irrigation store carries more sophisticated timers.

This is the place I have used for years. Can't remember the name either.

Also if lines are out side fenced, animals will chew the lines for water.

the store is called INEPSA, they have everything drip related.

Thanks, I just knew that I couldn't find the timer under the DIG name anymore but found it under Galcon. Good to know.
