New Calexico Entrance into Mexicali

I have some friends coming to visit me in San Felipe next weekend. I understand that the new gate into Mexicali from downtown Calexico is now open. Does anyone know where to stop at the new entrance in order to get FMMS? Also, from the new entrance does anyone know how to reconnect with Highway 5 to head south? Thanks for the info.

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

I have not been through the new crossing, but according to a recent post (I could not find the thread to copy it here) the parking is on the left side. The person reporting here said that the new office is not set up in the new building, so you will need to walk over to the old station.

I don't know how far that is, did you view the previous post on this subject?

How new is this "new" crossing you are referring to? I just crossed in downtown 2 weeks ago. Not new as far as I know, unless you are speaking about something else.

Anyway, Aduana is right past the red light / green light on the left (East) side of the street. We passed it and parked on the right side of the street and walked back a block.

Use your phone (Google Maps) to navigate out of Mexicali. Basically where you cross goes straight into the 5.

Pro-tip: download Google Maps of Baja for use when you don't have cell coverage (South of San Felipe).

I was thru the West Downtown Calexico crossing into Mexicali 2
mo's ago. Noticed 2 blks. to the west what appeared to be new
booths for a crossing into Mexicali, first I've heard of it. A few days back on a San Felipe fb page, was a video, brand new
showing, thru the windshield of a vehicle going so. toward
the original downtown crossing. At the last red lite signal
in the US, at that intersection is one of those duty free stores,
traffic was directed right a couple blks., that is where the
new crossing is, simple enough, a blvd. heads so. from there,
appears much better than the cluster of the old Downtown.
I'm sure there are signs directing so. to San Felipe.
Watching the video, I looked for Mex Imm at the new crossing,
didn't see any, doesn't mean it is not there. It's been open
for maybe 10 days, so I would ASSUME Mex Imm has an office
there, key word is assume
