Dorado Fishing Trip in Lareto- help please

Hi!

Baja trips over the past 10 years have strictly been surfing but I have been asked to put together a Dorado trip for next July. We are looking for an all inclusive type with AC hotel/ transport in Loreto/ boats/ etc or I can put something together. 3-4 days.

Anyone have someone or an outfit that I should be working with?

Thanks a ton

Bryan

https://www.outpostcharters.com/

Get it touch with Outpost Charters. Over the past ten years or so dorado fishing out of Loreto has deteriorated from terrific to downright lousy. OC has some offshore boats that will get you out far enough to have a chance at some decent dorado. Or, if your ambitions are more modest they can also put you on a panga or other small boat for fishing closer to shore to entertain yourselves with the dinks which are about all you will find within 30 miles of Loreto these days. I imagine that Outpost can also assist with accommodations.

Thanks for the heads up Bill. I have been reading what you are putting out here in other places about the dorado. I wonder if there are other locations on the Baja Peninsula that are better suited for dorado. We are not locked into Loreto at all.

I know nothing about Outpost so I'll check to Bill on that, but everything else he says is true. I brought my 9-weight last year and was over-sized, an 8 or even good 7 would be sufficient. Well ok, maybe not the 7, heh. But it's getting there.
