San Felipe motel
Sadly it is time to get back to the ling cod in Brookings and I have to hit the road the first. We are going to take Mex 5 to Yuma. We are going to
spend the night in San Felipe. I have never stayed there and am looking for recommendation for a dog friendly motel. Any help will be greatly
appreciated.

Sky Blue motel
About six miles north of town on the west side of Highway 5 -
Basic, and dog friendly.
Older photo - the restaurant to the left (Playa Azul) has been enlarged and it is quite popular

That's correct, coming from the south it would be on your left, or west side of the road.

It's at KM. 182 Hotel Sky Blue.
I had breakfast at the (really good) Road Runner Cafe, KM. 179, east side, and chatted with a couple who was staying at the Sky Blue while they were
purchasing a new home nearby. They really liked it!
I (sadly) stayed the previous night at the Hotel Diamante (KM. 185.5), a place that was empty when I checked in (and asked if I could get put in a
quiet area, far from any noise, please... ) and where after I was in bed, the otherwise empty hotel's staff decided to put a young couple next door,
and family with kids right above my room, who allowed their kids to run and jump until I asked (at 10 pm+) if they could let me have some peace. LOL

Los angelos hotel is a couple miles south of town. Clean and cheap. Guard on duty at night. Call about the dog. They speak English.

Sky Blue was my least favorite hotel I have stayed at in Baja. Did not feel clean.
Restaurant next door was good.

I've stayed at both El Captain and Kiki's with our dog. El Cap is closer to town but Kiki's is quit and on the beach.
