That kind of stuff almost never happens in San Diego. Like the ballpark, Qualcomm stadium upgrades, the abortion at the old NTC, the personal vendetta against Roque de la Fuente..... I'm sure there's more but I only thought about for a mere second.

they have a fun ILS coming in from the east

like from AZ and there is weather.

that will be too bad if it closes. another GA field eliminated from the already limited choices. look what happened to Meigs Fld in Chicago on the lake last year.

When Brown goes below their VOR minimums......itty bitty planes will have to divert to Lindberg....wait till your 737 has to do 3 more holding circuits so a C 172 can shoot a low approach....then the city will wonder, what the FAWK were we thinking??!!:fire::fire::fire::mad::mad:

MYF- International law

I am told that International Law classes at the University used Brown Field for all kinds of "what if" scenarios in Int'l law.
Such as the old scheme to link Brown and TJ Intl with a connecting taxiway.
Then the fun begins.
What if:
a flight originates in US, but lands on the TJ strip and skids off into the US side...

a flight lands in US but taxis to TJ and collides with another in the connection... who has jurisdicition...

takeoff on one side aborts, skids across to the median- who has jurisdicition....

I guess the possibilities went on and on and on......

Interesting
