At least 5 thugs with guns!

Charlys Place was assaulted by at least five masked gunmen. Witness accounts state that the gunmen entered through an upstairs entrance and closed all
access and entrances of the restaurant. The gunmen then robbed the cash registers and all clients of the bar restaurant taking all their belongings"

Flip fones are cool, back in style.
I bet the folks that got ripped off are changing the keys to their houses and I guess their cars too. Having your wallet, keys, and cell phone in the
hands of a thief sounds scary.

I'm with Stefano Faccin, who doesn't recommend Rosarito Crime Watch.
I'm also bothered by the fact, the original Spanish article is not linked, although the underlying story is probably true, and you don't know who is
running Rosarito Crime Watch, or what their agenda is.
There are a few notorious fear mongering sites out there, and many are from the same people/ilk who only report negative news about Baja, in a vain
attempt to discourage Mexico tourism.

JJJ is right. This could be fake news. We'll see if it hits any newspapers tomorrow.
There is a ton of BS out there, especially on social media websites and cable "news" shows.

The article in "Seventh day Weekly" reads as follows.
They loved charly's customers
Rosarito.- to the cry of " all to the ground " a band of at least six assailants docked and burgled the customers of the restaurant bar " Charly's
place " located on kilometer 37.5 of the road free to ensenada south of Rosarito.
The facts came to the first minute of this Sunday June 2, when the hooded people waved their weapons to subdue the customers of the bar, some retired
and retired from the neighboring American country.
A Bar waiter took the scare of his life by remembering as one of the subjects placed a 12 double barrel shotgun right in the head, at the time they
demanded to open the business cash register.
Other diners were left without their suitcase and credentials, because the thieves took the same bags, phones, wallets and even chains. Witnesses

least another four screwed assaults committed to the south of the municipality. Even other high-impact crimes in this area where tension and fear
already havoc between residents and entrepreneurs of rosarito.
