South Bound US Checkpoint at San Ysidro Open?

Does anyone know if they opened the new US checkpoint booths in southbound lanes yet?

Right now (10 am Sunday) there is no wait to enter Mexico.
Tells me they aren`t open, but may be tomorrow, who knows?

During an Amber alert they can catch men trying to take young girls kidnapped, into Mexico.

When I went thru about 2 weeks ago it was not staffed.
Just drive right thru.
However to the left side about 50 feet away several Agents were gathered...

Do the Mexican immigration officials not help with that?

I don't know, but once you have arrived at the Mexican gate, you could get a green light and nobody will look at you plus... you are already well inside Mexico so the U.S. officers who want him may not get him that way??

I think you may be a little melodramatic, because the vast majority of Amber alert, cases involve the father 43% of the time, the mother 23% of the time, and pimps 0.08% of the time. Getting kidnapped by strangers is about 0.1 percent of the time according to the link on the bottom.

BTW, isn't it true, that the so-called sex slaves are trafficked from Mexico to the US, and not usually the other way around, from the US to Mexico?

Personally I rather not be bothered on my phone over an Amber alert, and all that noise, especially if I'm not anywhere close to where the abduction took place.

"Men" includes fathers who do not have legal custody... the most frequent kidnappers, I think.
