Where's the best tripa tacos ????
Hey all,
I'm, along with most of ya, just LOVE TACO's especially Fish tacos in Baja..
But I have a special place in my mouth for Tripa tacos and they are not at most taco stands. So I am asking IF anyone knows of any good places in Baja
????
I will be heading down soon,,, Thanks
Since I've given up all hope, I feel much better

Tripa (chit sack) as taco filling is disgusting
The goat does not eat skin, intestines or organ meat of livestock.

I like mine mixto...half and half carne asada with tripa...my favorite so far is a small place in GN..a couple doors down from Viva Mexico taqueria on
the main drag...a block after the big orange water tower. There is a hot dog place on the corner where you turn to go to Baja Oasis hotel...it is
beside the hot dog place...best tacos in GN.

Yes Sheri,
I'm hoping some day they will be open ?
I've been by there now probably 6 times and they are always closed.
When was the last time you ate there ?

I would like to meet the folks that first looked at a bunch of cow guts or octopus and said, "Gee, I would sure like to eat that"

My son used to ask me that question. I told him that a couple of guys probably saw an animal eating such a thing and one guy turned to the other and
said, "I don't know about you, but I'm starving. Screw it, let's eat that thing." And the other guy said, "well, ok, but I think we should probably
put it in fire first. After all, we're not savages."
By the way, I don't think octopus merits the same nose wrinkle as cow guts (although I love a good menudo). One of the best dishes I've ever eaten
was the pulpo del diablo at a little restaurant in Playa de Troncones, in Guerrero. Stewed in salsa de arbol and then lightly charred on the plancha.
Mmmm, tasty. Also, honorable mention to the coctel de pulpo at La Guerrerense in Ensenada, my go to when they run out of the shrimp and the mixto
ceviches.

I enjoy octopus....that Troncones dish has my taste buds yearning.
I rented a beautiful place in Troncones 10 years ago...a nice way to do Zihuat.

Tripe is my favorite as well. Two places come to mind:
Tacos Guasave
South part of Ciudad Constitucion on HWY 1
25.0251701, -111.6702399
Tacos El Poblano
Zona Rio Tijuana. Easy to access on way to the Sentri lanes or if you just crossed the border. Right next to where Baby Rock was.
32.5230941, -117.0131224
One of the best I ever had was near Mexicali but I can't remember exactly where it was located. Maybe in Alberto Oviedo Mota.

El Rey del Taco in Loreto is famous for their fish tacos, but their tripe tacos are the real winner

a little confusing.....tripa is small intestine and tripe is stomach lining, i've not seen tripe tacos but then again I rarely eat tacos.

i think tripa, bovine stomach, (as don pisto said) is often confused with tripita (small intestine of swine) at least that's my current perception.
