"Non-Resort" Lodging in Valle de Guadalupe

We are looking for more traditional Baja-style lodging in Valle de Guadalupe. Of course, a clean, comfortable & friendly place is a must. I would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you so much.

I'm having difficulty imagining "traditional" lodging in the state where in 1800s there was basically a stone age, and today heavily americanized.

Check Air BnB maybe? https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/27827294?source_impression_id=p3...

VDG is nice place but gringio prices most places. Even bottle of wine in liquor store 25 bucks. Since they only pay the help 6 bucks a day. They don't deserve 100 + bucks a night.:D

Forgot to mention, AirBnB.ca quotes are usually in CAD, 78 CAD a day = 60 USD.

I wonder whether Mex vine in your your local store costs more than in tourist areas like Valle.

Small fishing town in the middle of nowhere, frozen shrimp $US 12/kilo. Big supermarket in Tijuana - $9/kilo. Back North, Safeway, same frozen Pacific shrimp - $11/kilo (though this was on sale, normally $15).

I rented a pretty cool cabana that I found on VRBO. Not resort at all, it was a little bungalow behind someone’s house. I just searched “VRBO for Guadalupe Valley Baja” and quite a few came up.

There is probably nothing traditional about anywhere in the Valle, but that doesn't make it less authentic. It is what it is.

I agree - use VRBO and AirBnB to find something YOU like.

It is pretty cool out there. Lots of people trying to create a new vibe.

All of these are what I think you mean by "non-resort" lodging, We have stayed in all of these and found them acceptable.
