Mexicali dentist questions

A friend intends to have dental work done in Mexicali. She does not want to drive into Mexicali. This dental work may take two consecutive days.

This brought up a couple of questions - is there a term parking lot for a couple of days near the border in Calexico? I assume the walking route would be pretty straightforward, and that on the Mexicali side that there would be taxis readily available, is that correct?

Returning to the border via taxi, what kind of wait time is common for pedestrians to cross at Mexicali west?

Other suggestions to make this easier are solicited.

Calexico and Mexicali both have taxi service but also has Uber she can use. If she is wanting just a very basic hotel only a couple of blocks to border there is California Suites Motel on 341 East 4th Street in Calexico or nicer Holiday Inn Express on 2501 Scaroni Road, Calexico (I have stayed here nice and a Dennys and Applebees with short walk to both from hotel). Best Western John Jay Inn right next to it also at 2421 Scaroni Rd., Calexico and they will let her leave her car there if she talks to the Manager ahead of time while she goes back and forth for her dental work. Pedestrian crossing from Calexico to Mexicali is a snap but coming back into USA can have lines unless she has Ready Lane or Sentri card then it is fast. Why don't you go another 50 miles east to Andrade park in the big parking lot ($10) on the US side and walk across to Algodones? It's just loaded with good dentists. Easy ingress and egress into Mexico and back into the US.

I hear the Mexicali & Calexico Dentists are good. My friends come down from BC for their dental work. Seems like a long way so it must be worth the trip.

Would you know of a specific dentist or is that the general consensus of the availability in Algadones?

I appreciate the additional thoughts and will pass them along.
