Importing a Hot Tub


Anybody bring a hot down ? Wondering what the duty would be? Would I have to go through Otay ?

go to self declare/import area

16% tax on appraised value

you need to pay tax in pesos

I brought a used Jacuzzi hot tub with me, crossing at Tecate last year. I had a handwritten Bill of Sale, not sure if the SAT guys used it, but they wanted $3,000.00 Pesos as Import Tax. The nice official said: accept it or turn back into the US.
Enjoying the Jacuzzi now during the cooler days here......
