Road from BOLA to Punto San Francisquito?
Looking for an update. Is it fine for a two wheel drive with ordinary clearance? Any estimate on how long it takes to drive it?

No problem with a 2 wheel drive. Time depends on how fast you drive?

I drove that road the week between Christmas and New Years 2019 - No issues, departed after breakfast and made to to Punto San Francisquito in time
for a late lunch.

You can make it in 2 wheel drive. But if you are going to do much exploring in Baja you really need to step up to 4 wheel drive. Just a lot more fun
with the different places you can go to and obviously much safer.

stretches of the road are smooth - others are rough - 2WD will get you through - but the 2WD tires will not like it
ordinary ground clearance?
NOPE
this road was the reason I bought my first 4x4
1985 in a Chevy Nova and the belly was hitting bottom often
and the old Nova has more clearance than today's 2WD
the accumulation of gravel in the road center is what will test your ground clearance

Air your tires down to 20-25 PSI, and you can go a lot faster. You will be more comfortable too. That is one long gravel road.

Road Log Update for Kilometer Markers
A request for anyone driving south of L.A. Bay:
Kilometer markers have been installed since my trip in 2017 and I would like to get the marker number at a few points. If a point is after a marker,
estimate (or use your odometer) to see if it's close to half a kilometer (0.3 mi) or close the next marker (0.6 mi).
I cannot just convert the mileage I recorded into kilometers because I do not know exactly where the marker for Km. 0 is placed (I have been told it
is right away, and I have been told that it is 1/2 kilometer (0.3 mi) from the pavement.
Then there is the issue if the kilometer markers to the south are in the true location. It is more important to know a road is at a certain marker
sign than it is if that marker was not at the correct kilometer distance south. The signs help us find places easily, instead of using the trip
odometer.
This will update our Baja Nomad Kilometer list as well as the future road guide, should I not get back down before it is printed (this spring)...

The points (these are all the points in the new road guide and many you may not see but thanks for any that you do note!):
Km. 0 (how far is it from the pavement leaving L.A. Bay town, right away or 0.3 mile)?
Km. __ Camp Gecko (4.0 mi from town)
Km. __ Road fork, ahead to Rincon, around the bay. (4.5 mi)
Km. __ Las Flores jail house off to the west of the road. (9.7 mi)
Km. __ Top of uphill, road curves left, road ahead to the terminal platform (12.0 mi)
Km. __ The old road south to the right (Green Door Trail, 22.1 mi)
Km. __ Las Animas road left (26.0 mi)
Km. __ Road left to the beach (43.1 mi from L.A. Bay)
Km. __ Road left to Pancho's/ Francisco's BahÃa San Rafael (45.1 mi)
Km. __ Old road/ Green Door Trail south end (56.3 mi)
Km. __ Crossroad, main road south turns left, old road to right (68.2 mi)
Km. __ Join with main road between El Arco and San Francisquito (69.6 mi)
Km. __ Road right to Rancho Escondido and El Barril
Km. __ Crossroad: San Rafael Bay's south shore left, El Barril right (75.6 mi)
Km. __ Road right to Punta San Francisquito Resort (79.7 mi)
Km. __ Entrance gate to Beto's Puerto San Francisquito (left) and Pta. San Francisquito Resort, 1 mi to the right (81.0 mi)
In the guide, I use (example number) Km. 20 if the point is at or within sight of the marker.
Km. 20+ if it is about 1/4 km. after a marker, or ~0.1-0.2 mi.
Km. 20.5 if it about 1/2 km. after a marker (~0.3 mi).
Km. 20.5+ if it is about 3/4 km. after a marker (~0.4-0.5 mi)
If you can see the next marker well enough to read Km. 21, then use that.
This is the kind of detail I do when it comes to Baja road logs and maps... it is fun for me!
