CBP Announces new border crossing hours starting April 5:
San Diego, California
The usual hours or lanes of some selected ports of entry along the California-Mexico border will be modified as part of actions to prevent the spread
of Covid-19 and to the decrease in users, after travel was restricted. not essential. These changes will take effect from Sunday , April 5, 2020.
It should be noted that the modifications will be at the ports of entry that process passenger traffic, so changes in the commercial sentry boxes were
ruled out .
The number of pedestrian or vehicle lanes may decrease in order to maintain operational control of travelers seeking to enter the United States.
San Ysidro:
· It will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the processing of vehicles and pedestrians heading north and south.
· All pedestrian processing, both north and south, will now take place at the east pedestrian facility (the original crosswalk area in San Ysidro)
· Until further notice, the Pedwest sentry box will be closed.
Otay Mesa:
· It will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the processing of pedestrians and vehicles heading north and south. So far there are no
changes to commercial ports of entry.
Tecate:
· New hours of operation for north and south vehicle and pedestrian crossings will be implemented from 5 am to 2 pm every day. There are no changes
at this time at commercial ports of entry.
Calexico:
· Calexico West will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for north and south pedestrian and vehicle processing.
· Calexico East will have new hours of operation implemented for north and south crosswalks and vehicular crossings from 6 am to 10 pm daily.
There are no changes at this time in the commercial booths.

Wow....
2 p.m. at Tecate is a real puzzler
Of course we will not be heading down for some time so I guess it won't affect us, but sure is interesting
That just means more folks streaking down the Cuota for Otay and SY

David K,
Will you be so kind as to post a link to the page with that info?
Unable to find it in the labyrinth of US Government websites. I'd like to keep up with any updates. Thanks.

Where is "Andrade" port of entry?
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

Andrade
Thanks David, I have crossed there going north, and south, but never knew it was called anything other than Algodones!

Yup, Andrade is a
place - but not a town. AFAIK, the only thing there is a parking lot (not free!) owned and operated by the Fort Yuma Quechan Indian Tribe and a
defunct RV park.
