New Ford Bronco ??
I owned one in the last century. I liked it and the old time locking hubs would get me through anything.
Photo of new one looks retro with the rag top.

The 1970s are calling, they want their car back.
Looks like Ford hired a bunch of 70-year-olds to design a box truck.
Woke!
“...ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.” “My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America
will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.”

The designers probably laid off from Land Rover in 1972
So it is probably aluminum body panels.

https://www.fourwheeler.com/news/1911-ford-bronco-r-prototyp...
A day before the official opening of the 2019 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Ford Motor Company released a race truck version of the new 2021 Bronco. The
Bronco R prototype is a full race truck built by Geiser Brothers in Arizona. The body is a sneak peek of what we could see on the production model to
be released in Spring 2020. The vehicle was built in complete secrecy and has features that will be found on the upcoming production model.
The truck will be campaigned by Cameron Steele's Desert Assassins race team at the 2019 SCORE Baja 1000. Drivers in attendance included Mr. Steele
himself, Curt Leduc, Johnny Campbell and Rod Hall's granddaughter, Shelby Hall. Fifty years ago, Rod Hall won his first Baja 1000 in a Ford Bronco.
The race livery on the new Bronco R prototype will be a tribute to Rod Hall's original machine.
There is already much speculation about what is under the hood. We know the Bronco is being built under the Ranger platform and could get the 2.3L
engine. As we watched the truck rip through the desert, the truck had a Raptor-type sound to it. Possibly covered in the race body panels is a V-6
engine. We know from talking to one of the race drivers that the truck has plenty of power to win the Baja 1000. The truck is solid axle in the rear
but has an independent front suspension. Ford continues to be tight-lipped about what we can expect in Spring 2020.

Where were you when you watched this ford bronco on TV with USA’s most infamous murderer?
I was drinking beer and barbecuing by the pool, with coworkers, on a business trip in Pittsburgh...

I was sitting in the bar @ the TuCancun in Cancun, all the hotel staff were glued to the TV cheering on OJ, it was as surreal as the show trial was.
Ever seen the house where the jury forewoman lived??

Long time Bronco fan. Sold the 96 one and kept the 72. My son is the same he still has the race Bronco and now he has a 71.
So, what is the deal with Ford's new Bronco?
Most long time Bronco fans are skeptical what with the huge success that Jeep continues to demonstrate. The Jeep standard is formattable for a new
brand to compete with. Toyota figured that out and gave up.
My off-road rig is a Jeep as the 72 Bronco is too valuable to get any mud or scratches on it.
Latest new Bronco motor choices seem to be 4 cyl twin turbo and 2.7 v6 twin turbo. A 7 speed granny gear manual will be offered, but all other
configurations will use the 10 speed auto.
