Ensenada going dry?
WTF! how did this work out in Loreto?
POSSIBLE BAN ON ALCOHOL SALES? The "Covid-19 Committee" --a mix of state, local, civil, and academic organizations--met for the first time this week,
and established 10 action items including things like mandatory use of facemasks in public places, shops, and industries, along with stricter
enforcement of the 9pm-6am curfew. Among other measures.
One proposal sure to provoke a response is one presented by Ensenada's mayor--a "dry law" which would ban the sale of alcohol as a means of reducing
physical interactions. This proposal will be taken up on Wednesday during the ordinary session of the "Cabildo."

For a moment, I thought you meant that you couldn't get Vermouth anymore!
How about Triple Sec?

Never in a million years would I have expected MX to do something like this.

Time for the folks in Ensenada to make a run north to Rosarito to stock up. Or perhaps south to Maneadero.

Well, no, I understand perfectly. MX is capable of becoming a police state in a nano second. Ignorance becomes logic thinking no booze will
be good for people. And discourage some from social drinking. F’ them!
Behind the curve big time with lack of dispensaries. BYOD.

I have to say, I also never, in a million years, thought that Mexico would ban alcohol.

There are a lot of nomad alcoholics. How will they survive w/o alcohol?
Woke!

Oh, there will be booze, at the back door, price negotiable.
I'm sure the TJ traffickers are devising the logistical plan now. You'll be able to buy a bottle of Oso Negro vodka at the street corner.

Even though Loreto had a Dry Law for over two months you could still buy anything you wanted from various sources even order it on Facebook and have
it delivered. The only difference was you paid twice as much......IMHO it was kept in place so a certain group could reap the benefits from people who
really couldn’t afford it anyway
