Castro's Camp/ Ej. Eréndira New Boat Launch
Posted by Jere Hooper on Facebook... Exciting news!
My folks and I fished with Castro's several times in the early 1980s. Best bottom fishing around! Punta San Isidro offers pretty good protection from
a north swell to launch, but it was a steep road down to the pangas with little room back then.

WOW
That was my go to fishing spot back in the 80s and 90s before I bought a boat. The steep grade to the water kept me from trying to launch it there. My
old 454 chevy suburban could make it down the steep hill to pick up the fileted rockfish from the pangalaros. Many times we spent a couple of nights
in a room for 6 persons with 3 bunkbeds. The onsite restaurant served very tasty local cuisine.
What fun, cards all night and fishing in the morning. Perhaps its time for a revisit after the current virus problem is over. The whitefish there
were the biggest I ever caught to 12lbs.
Are the rooms for rent still available there? What is the cost today for a full day of fishing? This a must location if you want to catch rockfish,
lingcod and whitefish.

Hard to tell size from pic, but that rip rap looks too small for probable wave energy...
