Are the Baja Ferries currently operating ?

Of the two websites that I can find for Baja Ferries, one of them says that they are functioning as usual while the other site says, "No further Sailings" from La Paz, Topolobampo, or Mazatlan.

Yep. That's the one that seems to say business as usual.

"From August until October, puppies and kittens travel for free on any of our routes."

Good for them. I wonder if my dog fits in the pup category. I'm sure he'd like to see Mazatlan.

My "puppy" is about the size of yours, and when I checked into traveling from La Paz to Mazatlan, I did not like the conditions that she would have to endure for such a long voyage.

I have heard second hand stories about people paying for the privilege of leaving the dog in their vehicle instead of a kennel on the cargo deck, but I did not want to chance it.

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!
